so, there's an unfortunate elephant in the room i need to address when it comes to this website. it REEKS of rookie HTML programmer under the hood, and i'm uncertain of what to do about it. on one hand, i could almost certainly cook up a more efficiently presented website with the knowledge i have now that isn't as much of a pain to work with. one the other hand, i would have to reprogram the entire site to make that a reality, and that is a pretty daunting task, considering how much stuff i've put on the site. i've been trying to ignore it for a while, but it's really starting to catch up with me. take for example, the reviews page. it was fine for everything to be on one page when there were only one or two small reviews, but now there's a colossal catalog of huge things i've written, and it feels extremely sloppy. i was considering doing something similar to how i reorganized the music page, but if i'm being honest, i'm not particularly fond of how that looks either.
on top of all of this, the site is really only optimized for my specific computer screen size and resolution, and i'm not a fan of that. again, could i make something more "responsive," now that i know more about HTML than when i started? probably, but it would require such a huge overhaul of EVERYTHING that i simply just don't have the motivation to do something of the sort. additionally, i'm no longer actively taking web design classes, and i haven't worked on the site in a while. as such, i've become a little rusty with HTML, and i'd probably have to relearn a lot of things. this is just another thing killing my motivation, and is why the site's been a little stagnant in terms of visual updates.
this is where i ask for your assistance. if you have any good ideas on how to better organize the site or any good resources on making responsive webpages, shoot them to my email at motsdrama@proton.me. additionally, i've also been throwing around the idea of just rebuilding the site from scratch, starting anew... no promises on that, of course, and i'd certainly migrate a lot of things from here, but it's just an idea.
thanks as always for your patience, i'm so fickle with my workflow so i appreciate people still checking in from time to time despite that.
